Sri Lanka ‘A’ face Pakistan ‘A’ at Pallekele today

Sri Lanka ‘A’ will meet the touring Pakistan ‘A’ Team in the first 4-Day cricket encounter at the Pallekele Stadium in Kandy commencing today.

This clash should turn out to be a good battle as several youngsters who performed well at the domestic level have been included to obtain match exposure.

Sri Lanka ‘A’ will be led by wicket-keeper batter Sadeera Samarawickrama and will have the services of Test players Oshada Fernando, Asitha Fernando, Vishwa Fernando and Lasith Embuldeniya.

Meanwhile, Pakistan ‘A’ will be led by left-hand top-order batter Saud Shakeel while Haider Ali will be his deputy.

The second 4-Day game will commence on November 4 at the same venue followed by the three one day games on November 10, 12 and 14.
