The Agriculture Ministry has taken all necessary measures to distribute organic fertilizers required for the Maha season from tomorrow.
It was decided at a meeting held under the patronage of the Minister of Agriculture Mahindananda Aluthgamage on Monday (11).
It was also decided to give priority to the distribution of organic manure to the paddy growing districts of Ampara, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Moneragala, Trincomalee, Batticaloa, Kurunegala, Hambantota and Puttalam.
Apart from the farmers who have already received government assistance for the production of the required fertilizer, other farmers will be able to transport the organic solid fertilizer to each Agrarian Service Center in each area so that they can obtain the required organic solid fertilizer from the Agrarian Centers in each area. It was also decided at the meeting that stocks should be made available to farmers at all Agrarian Service Centers.
