Netherlands challenges Namibia with 165 as Target in the qualifier

Dubai:

The Netherlands has challenged the African country with a total of 165 runs as the target. Namibia needs to present a brilliant show with the batsman to defend its spot in the next stage.

The Netherlands started well with its openers, adding 42 runs in quick time before Myburh returned to the stands at 5.4 overs.

O’Dowd played a decisive inning by making 70 runs off 56 deliveries with the help of his opponent, who gave him many chances in the form of dropped catches and missed run-outs.

Namibia could only take 3 wickets in 20 overs, with Frylinck taking 2 out of it, but the other bowlers were a touch expensive after Namibia skipper Gerhard Erasmus won the toss and elected to field first.

Namibia will now have to come on the field to win the game if the team wants to stay in Dubai a little longer as the loser gets eliminated in this game.
