MG Astor launches with attractive price

British carmaker MG Motors has launched its mid-size SUV Astor in India. The company has fixed a starting price of Rs 9.78 lakh for this SUV. The company has introduced the Astor in a total of five trim styles, Super, Smart, Sharp and Savvy.

Although the booking of MG Astor will start from October 21, but customers who are looking forward to buy this car can pre-reserve this car from today itself. MG Motors has launched this car keeping in mind the customers who like vehicles like Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.

According to the available information, the delivery of this car will be given in November and December to the customers who make reserve booking of Astor. Apart from this, the current price of this car will be applicable only for those customers who will book this car in 2021. At the same time, its price can be seen from next year. It is reported that 3000 units of Astor will be delivered in the first batch.

MG Astor looks quite different from its electric front i.e. ZS EV in terms of looks. But this vehicle is basically heavy loaded in terms of features.

AI-Based Personal Assistant

The AI-based personal assistant provided at Astor aims to provide a seamless experience to the passengers. This amazing system can portrait human emotions and interact with the user. It is built using NLP and NLU techniques to understand human behavior and respond accordingly.

In addition, it can read news and tell jokes to the user. Plus, it’s designed to respond to commands to open the sunroof, control the environment, even use navigation.

Autonomous level-2 safety

The Astor is equipped with Level-2 Autonomous Technology to keep the passengers safe. These systems SUV gets features like Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Headlamp Assist, Forward Collision Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Prevention. It also gets a speed assist system, which keeps the vehicle within the speed limit at all times.

The infotainment screen of Astor is 10.1 inches. It is slightly smaller than the 10.25-inch unit seen on the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. However, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility is standard across the entire Astor range.

Steering modes

These days it is common for most cars to have more than one driving mode. But the MG Astor goes a step further with three steering modes – Urban, Normal and Dynamic. However, MG is yet to reveal how exactly these mods will work. But it is certain that these steering modes will make the driving experience a lot easier.

Integrated Jio E-SIM

For in-car connectivity facility, the Astor is equipped with a Jio e-SIM. It is mated to a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment unit and can be used to access the Internet for various applications that are available on-board. The Personal Assistant also uses the system and e-SIM to share essential information over the Internet.
