Kavindu Lakshan who suffers from a degenerative brain disease with speech-delay, seizure disorder and learning difficulty six years ago has still not recovered fully despite paediatric neurological care.
His mother Nilani Pathiraja, a resident at No. 168, Swarnagama, Beragama, Agalawatta says continuous medication for the child cost a tidy sum which is beyond the reach of their family which has to provide for another elder son who sat the GCE Ordinary Level Examination this year. She says some form of public assistance towards the medication and upkeep of their family would be most welcome.
