A discussion for obtaining ideas and proposals for the Budget 2022 was held for the 87 GN Divisions in the Kalutara District with the leadership of Ports and Shipping Affairs Minister and Kalutara District Parliamentarian Rohitha Abeygubawardena at the main auditorium of Kalutara District Secretariat recently.
The Minister said that the Financial Ministry/Government has planned to give Rs.30 lakhs for each GN Division and asked the relevant officials to submit their ideas and proposals for the most necessary development projects for their divisions.
The Minister said that as the Government pays much more attention towards livelihood development, the State Officials should make sure that the proposals they submit are relevant to that aspect.
The meeting was held in two rounds – first one for the GNs and the other for the Development Officers and Samurdhi Development Officers.
