Indian FM visits Trinco, Kandy

Foreign Secretary of India, Shri Harsh Vardhan Shringla, is here on a four-day visit, yesterday visited the Trincomalee Oil Tank Farm.This his first visit to Sri Lanka since assumption of office as the Foreign Secretary of India.He was accompanied by the Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka.The Indian Foreign Secretary also visited the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy. The Foreign Secretary also attended the LIOC Lanka Indian Oil Company’s launch of its new product – ‘Servo Pride ALT 15W-40’. LIOC briefed him on the development undertaken at the Lower Tank Farms and the possibilities of further strengthening India-Sri Lanka energy partnership to enhance SL’s energy security. Shringla arrived aboard an Air India flight and was greeted at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) by Foreign Secretary Admiral (Rtd.) Jayanath Colombage.The High Commission said in a twitter message that LIOC briefed him about the development undertaken at the Lower Tank Farms and the possibilities of further strengthening India-Sri Lanka energy partnership.
