The Ministry of Health has introduced a special series of guidelines for the upcoming Katina Robe offerings. According to the guidelines containing the signature of the Director General of Health Services Dr. Asela Gunawardena it is mentioned that the Peraheras taking the Katina robe should be organized with the participation of a minimum of 50 devotees only.Also, only a maximum of 50 persons can attend the Katinanisansa Dhamma sermons. The Director General of Health Services has emphasized in his letter that during these events, precautions such as social distancing, procedures for disinfection, wearing proper face masks should be ensured and that health guidelines should be followed strictly.
