Adhere to all health guidelines - State Minister

Production,Supply and Regulation of Pharmaceuticals State Minister Prof.Channa Jayasumana said the risk of spreading COVID-19 has not died down despite the reduction in the number of deaths.

He said the vaccination programme in the country has come to the last phase by now and except for the Pfizer vaccine, the required consignments of other vaccines have already been imported to the country. The state minister stated this while speaking to the media at the Thambuttegama in Anuradhapura, yesterday. He said the vaccines are imported to the country under the supervision of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

A large number of devotees were seen coming to the Anuradhapura Sacred City these days and the state minister warned that such crowding may cause the spread of the pandemic further.
