The vaccination of those between 20 and 30 years had commenced yesterday, Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said.
The Minister said that already a number of people in the age category had been vaccinated. Those included frontline health workers and some garment workers, he said.
There are 3.7 million people in that age group.
“We will be able to finish vaccinating those above 30 years in three weeks. We will be able to finish vaccinating those between 18 and 30 by the end of October. Get the first vaccine you have access to,” the Health Minister said.
