Sri Lankan-born Kamsajini elected to Norwegian Parliament

Jaffna-born Kamsajini Gunaratnam (33), was elected to the Norwegian Parliament on Monday (13).

She had migrated to Norway at the age of three as a Tamil refugee.

She won the seat after contesting the General Election from the Labour Party.

She entered politics from the Labour Party and in October 2015 was elected to the Oslo City Council and became the Deputy Mayor.

She was elected to the same seat again in 2019.
