The Cabinet of Ministers approved the importation of 4,200 dairy cows to five private companies to increase the production of liquid milk in the country and also to provide them with 2771 acres of abandoned land belonging to the Janatha Estate Development Board and the Livestock Development Board to maintain dairy herds, Agriculture Mahindananda Aluthgamage said.
The Minister made this observation joining the weekly cabinet media briefing held today at the Government Information Department.
