A 19-year-old son, in the Valaichchenai Police area, has gouged one eye of his father following an altercation between them.
Son has attacked his father asking for money to have liquor and drugs yesterday.
Ater the 67–year-old father was taken to the Valaichchenai district hospital with his eye-ball out and was transferred to Batticaloa Teaching Hospital.
Preliminary inquiries by the Police revealed that it was the use of drugs that was the cause of this incident and the son has been taken into custody.
The Valaichchenai Police are investigating
