The Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (SLRC) has started a revision programme series titled Guruthalawa for students sitting for the GCE A/L examination.
The lesson will cover Physics, Chemistry, Accounts, Sinhala, Compound Mathematics, Biology, IT, Economics, Business Studies and Political Science. The programme will be aired live from Studio 1 of SLRC from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. from September 23. Among the experienced and well-known faculty members are Dr. Gunapala Ratnasekara, Dr. Manjula Munasinghe,
Bandara Dissanayake, Nayanajith Ratnayake, Tharindu Vithanage, Hasitha Madushanka, Dushyantha Mahabaduge, Devendra Silva, Miginda Rathnayake, Chamal Iddagoda, Prabuddha Srimal, Ranil Prabhath and Sajith Kelum.
In addition to Guruthalawa, the SLRC telecasts a series titled “Jathika Pasala” aimed at GCE O/L students from 5 a.m. to 6 a.m. on Monday to Friday. Moreover, educational programmes are telecast 16 hours per day in both Sinhala and Tamil on Channel Eye/Nethra channels. Rupavahini (SLRC) will celebrate its 40th anniversary in February next year.
