The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) marks its 70th anniversary today.
The SLFP has arranged an island wide blood donation campaign and a commemorative ceremony which will be held virtually due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. Party leader, former President Maithripala Sirisena is slated to make an address.
State Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara, General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party issuing a statement to mark the event said “Sri Lanka Freedom Party, will continue to uplift the country and the party by producing people oriented, humanitarian, honest, pragmatic and dedicated leaders for the country”.
