Sidharth Shukla’s body will be handed over to his family Friday morning. The actor’s post-mortem report is also to be revealed tomorrow. A team of three doctors has also been formed to conduct post-mortem examinations.
According to hospital sources, Siddharth Shukla was brought to Cooper Hospital around 10:30 am by his family. While it has been touted that the actor died following a cardiac arrest, the cause of death will be known only after post-mortem.
The Mumbai-born actor’s family issued a statement through his public relations team requesting the media to draw a line and “give his family and loved ones pace and let them grieve”.
“We are all in pain. We are as shocked as you are. And all of us knew Sidharth was a private person, so please respect his privacy, his family’s privacy. And please pray for his soul to rest in peace,” it said.
Sidharth Shukla is known for his roles in daily soaps such as “Balika Vadhu” and “Dil Se Dil Tak”. He is also popular for his stints in reality shows such as “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6”, “Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi” and “Bigg Boss 13”.
The actor last appeared on reality shows ‘Bigg Boss OTT’ and ‘Dance Deewane 3’ with Shehnaaz Gill. The late star rose to fame with the hit TV shows ‘Balika Vadhu’ and ‘Dil Se Dil Tak’.
He also shared screen space with Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan in the 2014 hit film ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’. The actor was also seen alongside Diljit Dosanjh in the 2018 movie ‘Soorma’.
He recently tasted success with his stint on the reality show ‘Bigg Boss 13’, where he emerged as the winner. The actor’s last screen outing was Ekta Kapoor’s insanely popular show ‘Broken But Beautiful 3’ in which he played the role of Agastya.
