Actress Shilpa Shetty has been keeping a low profile since the arrest of her husband, Raj Kundra, in a porn video racket. . For a month she spent time with her family and went absent from dance show, Super Dancer 4. But last month, the actress returned back to her show. Shilpa yet again managed to capture the hearts of fans with her infectious laugh in a promo of chat show Social Media Star With Janice show with comedian Nick. From the glimpse that we got, Shilpa seemed to have an amazing time on the show.
In the video, Shilpa can be seen joining Nick in singing the Hindi song ‘Chura ke Dil Mera’ but added her own twist to it. While sharing the video on her Instagram handle, Janice highlighted that the show was shot in July, before Raj’s arrest.
After Raj’s arrest, Shilpa broke her silence on social media and wrote a long post on Instagram that read, “Yes! The past few days have been challenging, on every front. There have been a lot of rumours and accusations. A lot of unwarranted aspersions on me cast by the media and (not so) well wishers as well. A lot of trolling/questions posed… not only to me but also to my family. MY STAND… I HAVE NOT COMMENTED YET and will continue to refrain from doing so on this case as it is subjudice, so please stop attributing false quotes on my behalf. Reiterating my philosophy of, as a celebrity ‘Never complain, never explain’. All I will say is, as it’s an on-going investigation, I have full faith in the Mumbai Police & the Indian judiciary.”
Talking about the Raj Kundra case, the Mumbai Police arrested Raj on July 19 in a case registered against him for creating and publishing pornographic films. The case was registered under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, Information Technology Act, and Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act at the Malwani police station on February 4, 2021. On August 18, the Bombay High Court granted interim protection from arrest to Raj Kundra till August 25.
