Kangana Ranaut calls Thalaivii best film of her career, says 'it will bring audiences back to theatres'

Kangana Ranaut looks forward to the release of her upcoming film ‘Thalaivii,’ which is based on the life of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and actress J. Jayalalithaa. The film is all set to release on September 10. On Monday, the actress took to Instagram stories after a screening of the film, and hailed it as one of the ‘best films of her career’, so far.

Kangana wrote, “What a gratifying experience to watch Thalaivii, the best film of my career so far.” In the next post she mentioned, “Thalaivii is a theatrical experience, hopefully Hindi multiplexes will also play it. I am confident that it will bring audiences back to theatres.” 

Earlier, Kangana had shared several pictures of her promotional looks from Hyderabad. The actress penned a little note which read, “#Thalaivii in Hyderabad today …. Media interactions here and watching the Hindi version of the film today in the evening for the very first time ….”.

Thalaivii which will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, showcases the varied aspects of Jayalalithaa’s life, tracing her journey as an actress at a young age to becoming the face of Tamil cinema as well as the rise of the revolutionary leader that changed the course of the state politics.

Talking about Kangana’s workfront,  the actress looks forward to the release of her upcoming film Dhaakad, which also stars Arjun Rampal. She also has films such as “Tejas”, period drama “Manikarnika Returns: The Legend Of Didda” in the pipeline. Kangana will also don the Director’s hat for the second time for “Emergency”, based on the life of late Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
