German philanthropist donates two ventilator machines

Upon the request of Director /CEO Mahinda Saranapala of Kelani Cables PLC, Ivor Vancuylenberg, a Sri Lankan living in Fulda ,Germany sent two ventilator machines to theKelani Cables recently.

Director /CEO Mahinda Saranapala said that one of the machines was handed over to the Colombo North Teaching Hospital, Ragama to use in Ward 21 where Covid 19 patients are being treated. Further he said the other one will be sent to the Kiribathgoda Regional Hospital by this week.

A simple handing over ceremony took place at Kelani Cables premises on September 27 with the participation of Ivor Vancuylenberg and representatives from the Ragama Teaching Hospital .Later they have handed over the ventilator machine and some hospital equipments and hospital aid to the health authorities of the Ragama Teaching Hospital

The total value of the donation was Rs.500, 000. Kelani Saviya CSR coordinator Jayantha Wijesinghe coordinated the donation.

Professor Arjuna Premawardena VP and representatives from the Ragama Teaching Hospital were present to take over the donation.
