Auto company Piaggio has introduced a special edition of the popular brand ‘Vespa’ in the Indian domestic two-wheeler market on the completion of 75 years of the premium scooter. According to PTI, Piaggio India said that the special ‘Vespa 75’ scooter is offered with two engine options: 125 cc and 150 cc and will be available across all Vespa dealerships in the country. Also, the hashtag Vespa75 is trending on Twitter since the big announcement on Thursday.
According to the reports, the company said that the scooter can be booked at all showrooms in India and also through the company’s official website with an initial token amount of Rs 5,000. Piaggio India Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Diego Graffi said that we are celebrating both, 75 years of Independence and Vespa with ‘Vespa-75.’
He said that this phase of Vespa’s journey in India comes at a time when the country is celebrating 75 years of independence and so are we. The company has a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant at Baramati, Maharashtra.
The Vespa 75 scooter 125 cc is priced at Rs 1.26 lakh, while the 150 cc price is Rs 1.39 lakh. The 125cc scooter has a Combi Braking System (CBS). The 150cc scooter gets a high lumen LED headlight, front disc brake, anti-lock braking system (ABS).
