Unbeaten teams lock horns in SLC T20 League

Two unbeaten teams SLC Greys and SLC Blues will look to consolidate their position when they clash in their Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) organised Invitational T20 League Cricket Tournament fixture at the Pallekele Stadium in Kandy today.

Both teams have recorded back-to-back victories in their previous two outings and are searching for their third win to maintain their unbeaten record in the tournament.

SLC Greys spearheaded by Sri Lanka Captain Dasun Shanaka launched their campaign with a thrilling one-run win over SLC Greens but had a more convincing 35-run victory in their second outing against SLC Reds on Saturday.

In fact, dynamic all-rounder Shanaka has led from the front and has been able to make a significant impact with the bat in both previous outings.

The dashing right-hand middle order batsman began with an explosive 84 from 41 deliveries in the opening match against SLC Greens and followed up with a 38-ball 48 against SLC Reds in the second game.

Meanwhile, SLC Blues have also notched up two successive victories and are determined to complete the first round of the tournament in an impressive manner.

In the first match of the day, SLC Reds will take on SLC Greens commencing at 2.30 p.m. (C.D.)
