The Chief Incumbent of the Punnakkudha Temple in the Eravur Police Division was arrested for allegedly molesting an 11–year-old boy who had arrived at the temple on Wednesday (25) to be a monk. Police said that the boy from another district had arrived at the temple to be a monk and that he had been repeatedly abused by the suspect.
The boy has been hospitalised for a medical report.
The Eravur Police are investigating.
