Showers will occur at times in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in Galle, Mathara and Kaluthara districts, stated the Meteorology Department.
Fairly heavy showers above 50 mm can be expected at some places in Sabaragamuwa province and in Galle, Mathara and Kaluthara districts.
Several spells of showers will occur in North-western province and in Hambantota.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at a few places in Uva and Eastern provinces after 2.00 p.m.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
