Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar are all set to begin shooting in the capital for their upcoming film ‘Raksha Bandhan.’ Aanand L Rai’s directorial family drama revolves around love, bonding, and attachment between a brother and his sisters. The film is already on floors since June and now it is entering its second schedule.
Akshay Kumar, Bhumi Pednekar, Anand L Rai, Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna, Sadia Khateeb, and Smrithi Srikanth will start shooting for Raksha Bandhan in Delhi from the 10th of September.

Akshay and Bhumi recently wrapped the Mumbai schedule and now are jumping towards Delhi. Fans are super excited with their favorite celebs coming to the capital and just can’t keep calm anymore. The wait for this amazing cast and film is making their fans more curious.
Last year in August, Akshay announced the movie by sharing the first poster on his Twitter handle. He wrote, “A story that touches your heart so deeply & so instantly, it’s the quickest I’ve signed a film in my career. Dedicating this film,#RakshaBandhan to my sister, Alka & to the most special bond in the world…that of a brother and sister. Thank you @aanandlrai, this one is very special.”

The film is written by Aanand’s longtime collaborator and National Award-winning screenwriter Himanshu Sharma, known for movies like ‘Zero’, ‘Raanjhanaa’ and the ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ franchise. ‘Raksha Bandhan’ is presented and distributed by Zee Studios in association with Alka Hiranandani and Aanand. The film is backed by Colour Yellow Production in association with Cape of Good Films.
This is the second time Akshay Kumar and Aanand L Rai have come together for a movie. They earlier collaborated for Atrangi Re.
