Over 630 persons arrested in 24 hours for breaching Qurantine Laws - PMD

The Police arrested 639 persons for violating Quarantine Curfew Regulations during the 24 hours ended at 6 a.m. yesterday (24), the Police Media Division (PMD) said in a press release.

About 57,435 people have been arrested for violating quarantine regulations since those regulations came into operation.

Thirteen roadblocks have been set up in the Western Province during the lockdown.

About 618 vehicles and 1,017 persons leaving the Western Province and 751 vehicles and 1,267 persons entering the Province were subjected to security checks yesterday, the press release said.
