BellBottom is receiving a good response by now and fans are loving the film already. Akshay Kumar has won hearts again and also, Lara Dutta’s role as then PM Indira Gandhi has left netizens in spits. Now, Lara’s husband has cheered the whole team while posing with Lara on social media.
Taking the pictures on Instagram, Mahesh Bhupati wrote, “GO ‘BELLBOTTOM’ … Good luck @akshaykumar @larabhupathi @iamhumaq @_vaanikapoor_ @deepshikhadeshmukh @jackkybhagnani” In the comment section, many celeb pals including Twinkle Khanna and Huma Qureshi have showered their love.
Earlier, in a talk with Zoom TV, Lara told that “My husband was shocked. He probably felt very unsettled with the look. He was like I don’t want to hug you. You don’t really look like yourself.”
Her daughter was in shock too, she said, “She was intrigued. She saw it come alive in front of her. She came in and she saw whole silicon on my face and said, ‘Mum they are going to kill you, you can’t breathe.’ She was so worried. Ya, but having said that, she was also very intrigued and was like, ‘Can I touch the nose, the eyebrows? Can I do this, that?”
BellBottom is based on the story of an undercover agent code-named Bellbottom (Akshay) who embarks on a secret mission to free 210 hostages held by hijackers in the early 1980s. Lara Dutta essays the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, who was in power at that time. Vaani Kapoor plays Akshay’s wife in the film.
