Lanka Phosphate Limited in Eppawala has been closed from August 24 to September 3 after four employees of its Grinding Division tested positive for COVID-19.
The Company has been operating during the Quarantine Curfew to meet the high demand for phosphate in the country to produce Organic Fertilizer. A spokesman for the company said that it had suspended production for seven days and will reopen next month.
