Ashen Bandara smashed an unbeaten quick-fire 36 to help SLC Blues pull off a thrilling five-wicket win over SLC Greens in a high-scoring SLC T20 League Cricket Tournament match played at the Pallekele Stadium under lights on Saturday.

The right-hander hoisted two sixes and struck the same number of boundaries during his 18-ball explosive innings as SLC Blues chased down their opponents total with three deliveries to spare.
Bandara also added 71 runs for the fifth wicket along with Sahan Arachchige who was run out for 38 in the last over having hoisted two sixes and one boundary.
This was after dashing opener Sadeera Samarawickrama had provided a flying start to their run chase by scoring a 38-ball 47 inclusive of one six and three boundaries.
Earlier, SLC Greens piled up a massive 180 for two from their 20 overs after having elected to bat first.
Pathum Nissanka and Kamindu Mendis both scored unbeaten half-centuries and also added 95 runs for the unfinished third wicket after opener Lahiru Udara had struck 44 with six boundaries.
