We have with us an example of Manisha Jadav. A resident of Maninagar area of Ahmedabad. She came to know that Adani group is running a Skill Development center, as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility, and gives training for various vocational skills in such a manner that the trainees can become capable of acquiring jobs suitable to their skills.
“I have seen beauty parlors, but I was not knowing that it requires different courses. Recently I got admission with the help of their officer in course of pedicurist and manicurist. Before that I was not aware of even A B C D of the Beauty Industry,”
Manisha said.
At present Adani Skill Develop Center is running various schemes in 10 states including Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Odisha, Kerala, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu with the aim of easing the employment crisis.
Marketing Executive working in various parts of the country are doing basic work to find out suitable candidates. Thereafter a counseling session is organized for selected candidates.
“While giving information about the centre, an officer said that “Before imparting training, the trainers of this popular organization find out about financial situation of the family and also find out that which sector is suitable for giving them guidance.”
Organization is giving online training for various courses. Thereafter they are given three chance for personal or virtual interview and they are selected for the job.
“After receiving training in this subject, I have got a job in Lovely Novelties as a Cosmetic Seller. Today I am receiving a salary of Rs.10,000,”
Manisha Jadav said.
“I have learned vocational etiquette, knowledge about cosmetics production and about how to start a saloon. I also received knowledge about how to work with computer. This job gave prestige to me and my family in the society. I am giving total credit for the same to organizers of Adani Skill Development Centre. I will only say that wish of Manisha is fulfilled. After saying this she went to attend her job.”
