The Wonder Years reboot is a coming-of-age comedy centered on the Williams family, a Black middle-class family in Montgomery, Alabama in the late 1960s. The story is told from the point of view of a young Dean Williams (EJ Williams), with Don Cheadle narrating as an adult version of the character. To coincide with the new show’s premiere, three original Wonder Years stars — Dan Lauria, Danica McKellar and Fred Savage — will guest star on ABC’s The Goldbergs, The Conners and “Home Economics, respectively. Both the reboot and the three other comedies will debut September 22 on ABC.
