AC capacity can be controlled according to the number of people in a room.

South Korean electronics giant, LG, introduced the Dual Cool Anti-Virus Inverter Air Conditioner that eliminates 99.7% of viruses in four steps featuring new and improved technology recently. This convertible 5-in-1 model is the latest in its series.

The first step in the virus-deactivating process is the Anti-Virus Filter. This special filter mesh coated with Cationic Silver Ions deactivates more than 99.7% of viruses and bacteria on contact. When inside air is absorbed by the air conditioner, the Allergy Filter removes all allergy-causing substances such as dust and mites floating in the air.

Next, Auto Cleaning uses a drying process to reduce any moisture forming on the heat exchanger inside the AC, to prevent bacteria, mould and odour from accumulating, and eliminates these harmful substances if any are left. Finally, UV Nano technology, consisting of UV rays emitted by LEDs from below the indoor fan, sterilizes the air up to 99.9% further from microorganisms by rupturing their DNA.

The convertible 5-in-1 Cooling Control enables you to save energy, as the AC reduces the cooling capacity from 100% to as low as 40%, but also increases the cooling capacity to 110% when faster cooling is needed, a company spokesman said.

The LG Inverter Air Conditioner is also equipped with Ocean Black protection.

This  coating applied to the outdoor unit of the air conditioner, provides exceptional durability against typical Sri Lankan conditions such as sand, salt, smoke and pollutants.
