Showers will occur at times in Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces, stated the Meteorology Department.
Several spells of showers will occur in Western province and in Galle and Matara districts.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Uva, Eastern and North-Central provinces during in the evening or night. Fairly heavy showers about 50 mm can be expected at some places in these areas.
Fairly strong gusty winds up to (40-50) kmph at times are likely in Western, Southern, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers
