Sri Lanka receives first consignment of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID vaccines

Sri Lanka has received the first batch of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine purchased by the State Pharmaceuticals Corporation (SPC), said the State Minister of Production, Supply and Regulation of Pharmaceuticals Prof. Channa Jayasumana.

Sri Lanka has received 26,000 doses as the first consignment.

The SPC has ordered a total of 200,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine while this is the first delivery of that purchase.
