People for Justice Organization lodges CID complaint against CTSU

The People for Justice Organization has lodged a complaint with the CID against the Ceylon Teachers’ Service Union (CTSU) alleging that the CTSU has endangered the lives of the people by violating the quarantine rules, disobeying health instructions and summoning unruly crowds.

The Chairman of the Organization Dilshan Gamage said that a request was made to inquire into the actions taken by the Director General of Health and other responsible health officials who are supposed to enforce laws against those who violate health regulations during the pandemic.Secretary of the Organization Tharindu Rodrigo, National Organizer R.M. Kumara and Attorney-at-Law Maduranga Wijeyeratne were present to lodge the complaint.

The protest in question was organised by the Secretary of the Ceylon Teachers’ Service Union Joseph Stalin and the General Secretary of the Ceylon Teachers’ Service Union Mahinda Jayasinghe.
