Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) General Secretary, Attorney at law Sagara Kariyawasam was appointed as the Deputy Government Whip yesterday. He received his appointment from Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa at the Parliament premises. Previously, Jayantha Ketagoda was the Deputy Government Whip of Parliament and Sagara Kariyawasam has been appointed to fill the vacancy created by his resignation.
