The Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) has suffered a loss of Rs. 2331 million in 2020 due to the COVID-19 epidemic outbreak, a report released by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka reveals.
The total revenue of the SLTB has come down to Rs.31.233 million in the same year , the report further reveals.
The expenditure of the SLTB in that year was Rs. 33.565 million.
However, the SLTB had recorded a profit of Rs. 1.557 million in 2019 and the revenue for that year was Rs. 43,490 million.
The total expenditure was Rs. 41,933 million.
