Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Western, Sabaragamuwa, North-western and Central provinces and in Galle, Matara, Mannar and Jaffna districts, stated the Meteorology Department.
Heavy falls about 100 mm can be expected at some places in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces. Fairly heavy falls above 50 mm can be expected at some places in North-western and Central provinces.
Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places elsewhere during the evening or night.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
