2214 more individuals recovered from COVID-19 bringing the total recoveries in the country to 178,259, the Epidemiology Unit confirmed.
According to the epidemiology unit there are only 27,931 active cases being treated in various hospitals across the country.
The total count of positive coronavirus cases found in Sri Lanka currently sits at 207,979.
The country has also witnessed 1789 deaths from the virus.
