Siripathi Jayamaha (85), a popular children’s writer and contributor to English newspapers including the Daily News passed away on Tuesday after a brief illness.
Jayamaha began his career at the Fisheries Corporation and also had stints at the NARA and the UN.
He is survived by his wife and a son and a daughter. A private funeral was held yesterday in Kelaniya.
