There will be no limitation of regular police procedures due to COVID-19-related duties, Police Media Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana said.
On Sunday, police apprehended narcotics smugglers during islandwide raids. Police have arrested four suspects from Anuradhapura, including one female, over the possession of heroin, DIG Rohana said.
Four others from Athurugiriya and one each from Wattala and Borella were also arrested on Sunday, he added. The Police Media Spokesperson requested the public to provide any information on narcotics smuggling through the 1997 hotline.
