The Principal of the Monarawana school in Medagama in the Bibile Educational Zone who was involved in ‘treasure hunting’ in the school premises has been arrested by police along with five suspects.
The Police said the principal in question had been arrested on the charges of treasure hunting in the same school premises earlier too. The arrest was made by the Medagama Police on a tip-off received and police have also taken into custody equipment used for treasure hunting. The suspects were to be produced before Bibile Magistrate yesterday evening. Bibile police are conducting further investigations
