The showery condition over the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern and Uva provinces is likely to enhance up to some extent during next few days, stated the Meteorology Department.
Showers or thundershowers will occur in the most part of the island during the evening or night.
Showers or thundershowers will occur in the Western, Southern and North-western provinces during the morning too.
Heavy rainfalls about 100 mm can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces and in Galle, Matara and Polonnaruwa districts.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers
