Agriculture Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage and his family have been quarantined after his personal security officer and driver tested positive for COVID-19.
In a Facebook post the Minister said that, his security officer tested positive for COVID-19 last Friday (April 30). Following that a PCR test conducted on his personal driver also came in positive , while the minister and his family members had tested negative.
However, the minister has further stated that as per the instructions of their Public Health Inspector (PHI) they are self-quarantining at home until the second PCR tests are carried out and his ministerial staff are also in quarantine since Friday.
The Minister has also requested the people who came to meet him or his staff on April 27 to self-quarantine as well.
