A person who was walking along the Nagoda-Thalgaswala road has been swept away by floodwaters, Nagoda Police said.
The victim has been identified as a 42-year-old resident of Mulana Wadiyakanda, Nagoda.
The body of the deceased was found by the Police near a furniture shop in the Mapalagama area.
