The Wakf board of Sri Lanka has decided not to permit Eid prayers at any Mosque in Sri Lanka on the upcoming Eid-Ul-Fitr festival day, due to the prevailing COVID-19 situation, stated the Department of Muslim Religious & Cultural Affairs.
Accordingly, the trustees of all mosques have been strictly directed not to open the mosque on Eid day and all Muslims are encouraged to pray at home with their families and restrict their movements.
