Batticaloa Police arrested 25 persons for hosting and participating in a birthday party held against COVID-19 restrictions on Monday.
Those arrested have been quarantined after being subjected to PCR tests. Batticaloa Government Agent K. Karunakaran has announced that except pharmacies, all other mercantile establishments must be closed after 6.00 p.m.
