Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi said the Sinopharm vaccine will not be given to Sri Lankans until its safety is assured by health authorities.
She said once the Sinopharm vaccine is approved by the WHO it will be used on Sri Lankans with the approval of the Advisory Committee on Communicable Diseases and the National Medicines Regulatory Authority (NMRA).
