Seven road deaths in 24 hours

Police Media Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said seven people have been killed due to road accidents within the last 24 hours.

He requests the motorists to follow traffic signs when driving out of Colombo during the weekend.

The number of deaths due to fatal road accidents has risen to 16 in the last few days. Even though the number of casualties has dropped to seven, this is a very alarming situation, the Police Media Spokesman said. DIG Ajith Rohana also urged the public to adhere to the health guidelines by taking the necessary precautions when travelling outstation.
