Permission will not be granted to hold any kind of public gathering in the coming month due the prevailing COVID-19 situation, State Minister of Primary Health Care, Epidemics and COVID-19 Disease Control Dr. Sudarshani Fernandopulle said.
She further saud that, the decision was taken due the increase in the spread of COVID-19, adding the quarantine period of two weeks will also be re-enforced.
