Four arrested with seven kilos of ICE from Jaffna

Police have arrested four suspects with seven kilos of the ICE narcotic in Jaffna.

Police Media Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana said three suspects were arrested along with five kilograms of ICE substance in the Kopay area by the Jaffna Divisional Crime Detective Bureau, the main suspect was arrested along with two kilograms of ICE in the Jaffna Town yesterday.

He further stated that two motorcycles, a lorry and a three wheeler were also taken into police custody in connection with the drug trafficking case.

“The investigations are continuing. It has been revealed that the ICE narcotic has been brought to Sri Lanka from India through sea. 135 kilograms of the ICE narcotic was seized by the Police Narcotics Bureau over the past 10 days,” he added.
